What is Web Work ?
Web Work is a completely web based CMMS - Computerized Maintenance Management Software package. Web Work incorporates, and seamlessly integrates, your maintenance operations - work orders, pm's, time and materials tracking - with inventory control and purchasing. All functions are fully integrated, providing complete management of your operations.

How Does it Work ?
Web Work runs completely web based, on the internet (ASP), your intranet or network or both. Client computers connect to the Web Work server using only their web browser - there is no software to install or configure on the client computer. You can give access to your suppliers / vendors as well as your internal staff.

Does it work on the internet ?
Web Work runs on the internet, or your intranet ! (Yes, your WAN, LAN, Extranet and all those other acronyms as well !). Any network that can provide TCP/IP network services can run Web Work.

Is Web Work a Java Application ?
No - Web Work is PURELY HTML based. Using ASP pages for dynamic data access to the database and DHTML/HTML formatting for the pages themselves. Underlying code is written in JavaScript and VB Script. Our experience with Java based applications showed that the applications truely were NOT cross platform portable and were more likely to crash.

Do I need a Terminal / Citrix Server ?
NO. Unlike the competition, our Web Work product is written in the NATIVE language of the world wide web, HTML. You do not require any expensive software or additional hardware to run Web Work - if you are running a web server now, you simply INSTALL and GO !

What computer hardware/software do I need ?

Server:
Web Work runs on Microsoft Internet servers - Which includes Personal Web Server for Windows 9x/NT Wkstn and Internet information server for NT / Win 2K. Hardware requirements are minimal on the server, however increased hardware will increase speed. IMPORTANT NOTE: If you do NOT have internet server installed on your Windows computer, it is available for free download from Microsoft: CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD FROM MICROSOFT (for windows 95, NT4) , or from your Windows CD (Win 98 CD, Add-Ons, PWS). Internet Server installs by default on Windows 2000 Professional , Server and Advanced Server

From the Microsoft Website, the following are the requirements for running web server software:

System requirements for running Windows NT 4.0 Option Pack on Windows NT Server 4.0

For Intel and compatible systems:
Pentium 66 MHz or higher; Pentium 90 MHz recommended
32 MB of memory (RAM); 64 MB recommended
200 MB of available hard-disk space

For RISC-based systems:
System with Alpha processor
48 MB of memory (RAM); 64 MB recommended
200 MB of available hard-disk space
CD-ROM drive
VGA, Super VGA, or video graphics adapter compatible with Windows NT Server 4.0 Microsoft Mouse or compatible pointing device

System requirements for running Windows NT 4.0 Option Pack on Windows NT Workstation 4.0

For Intel and compatible systems:
Pentium 66 MHz or higher; Pentium 90 MHz recommended
32 MB of memory (RAM); 64 MB recommended
100 MB of available hard-disk

For RISC-based systems:
System with Alpha processor 48 MB of memory (RAM); 64 MB recommended
200 MB of available hard-disk
CD-ROM drive
VGA, Super VGA, or video graphics adapter compatible with Windows NT Server 4.0 Microsoft Mouse or compatible pointing device

System Requirements for running Personal Web Server on Windows 95:

For Intel and compatible systems:
Pentium 33 MHz or higher; Pentium 90 MHz recommended
16 MB of memory (RAM); 20-32 MB recommended
40 MB of available hard-disk 4. VGA; Super VGA recommended
Microsoft Mouse or compatible pointing device

Our recommendation for a mid sized (50 users or less) Web Work installation is: Windows NT 4 with IIS, 350MHZ or better Pentium II processor, 128 MB RAM, and 200 MB of Hard Disk Space. Note that disk space used by the program itself is only sligthly over 3MB , however databases can grow quite rapidly.

Client:
Web Work will run on any client running Microsoft Internet Explorer version 4 or higher. This INCLUDES Apple and IBM compatible machines ! Currently, Netscape Browsers are not supported, however we are working hard to address this issues !

Will it run on my Apple Mac / iMac computer ?
YES ! As long as you have Microsoft Internet Explorer v4 or higher installed, Web Work will run on Apple Workstations . (You would still require a Microsoft Windows product running on the server !)

Will it run on my Netware Internet Server/Linux Web Server ?
NO - the standard version of Web Work runs only on Microsoft Internet Servers. It may be possible to make the product run on either Netware or Linux, as long as you can configure the server to interpret/run ASP pages. We have been unable to find proper information on Netware Internet Servers to this point, and there are products 'coming soon' for Linux to allow running/interpreting of ASP pages ... stay tooned !

I dont have a web server..what can I do ?
In addition to selling Web Work software, we also sell a turnkey solution for your network, that includes all of the hardware and software that you require - we deliver a computer, plug it into your network, and Web Work is up and running !

We also offer a HOSTED application service - we maintain Web Work on one of our powerful internet servers, on our high speed (Redundant OC3 150mbps) internet connection. You would then access Web Work via the internet, just as you are viewing this page now.

Can I see a demo ? Of course ! We have a FULLY FUNCTIONAL online demo running at: www.webcmms.com or through our main website www.teroconsulting.com
